MUSIC FOR DANCE


SAVAGE. A dance piece choreographed and conceptualized by NYC-based choreographer Katherine Maxwell, Savage takes a comparative look at the human experience in urban and wild environments, and examines our expectations of civilized behavior in contemporary culture.

JEPHTA'S DAUGHTER. A dance-theatre piece choreographed and conceptualized by Israeli choreographer Saar Magal, Jephta’s Daughter explores themes of Sacrifice from the Old Testament book of Judges. The work was created during a 3-month engagement in Munich, Germany; produced by the Bayerische Staatsoper. Composed and performed live at Haus Der Kunst by Makespeak and singers Friederike Mauß, Josephine Renelt, Richard Resch, Frederic Jost.
